Sicily Wins 2009 World's #1 Destination in the Conde Naste Awards!
Sicily has won both the No.1 World Destination award and the No.1 Holiday Island award this year. Readers of the world famous Conde Naste Traveller magazine voted Sicily number one in both categories - making Sicily the overall favourite holiday destination of 2009. The Island got high marks across the board, from 92.36 for climate to 97 for food and 95.36 for people/hospitality. Other categories Sicily scored highly on included beaches, environmental friendliness, variety of attractions, and value for money. Time to get2sicily...!
