Marausa Lido's Sandy Beaches

The beaches nearest the villas are between 23-250metre walk from our holiday homes. They are child friendly, free to use, and wide, sandy, with two bars and a small marina. In summer there are two extra Lido bars on the beach with playground, sun-loungers, umbrellas and lifeguards. You can also hire boats at the marina near the Bar. All are within a 1-10 minute walk depending on which house you rent. See the individual Holiday Villa pages.

Other Beaches in Trapani and Western Sicily
Sicily has 1000km of coastline and there are many other unique beaches, nature reserves, and coves and within a 30-60 minute drive. Hydrofoils, ferries, local roads and motorways will take you to the places shown in the photos below. Many places like San Vito, Favignana, Castellamare have parascending, diving, pedalo hire and banana boat rides during the summer months. Elsewhere, you will find tranquil coves such as Scopello Lo Zingaro for an idyllic day at the beach. Once you book, we'll send you the high resolution version of our specially produced guide map to the beaches of western Sicily. The '(30min)' time descriptions are quoted in driving minutes.

Underwater Life

Marine Life & Diving

For those of you without gills we would recommend you bring your snorkel and mask as there are many beaches and underwater reefs to explore along the coastline in the Palermo, and Trapani regions, - particularly the Marine Nature Reserves of the Zingaro, Ustica and the Egadi Islands. If you are a qualified diver, you will be able to hire tanks and diving gear at certain beaches and islands. There are a few locations where you can take lessons with proper equipment. We can put you in touch with certified organisers (see here).
