Located
in Lido di Marausa, Western Sicily (2 minutes walk from Villa
Anna) - The Villa can sleep two couples or a family of 4 (5
at a push) in its two bedrooms and bedding and pillows are provided.
It has a dining/living room that can double as a third bedroom
if needed together with a veranda kitchen and dining area. The
kitchen has a fridge-freezer, gas oven/hobs, washing machine
and all the utensils you will need. Trees shade a paved garden
and vines grow alongside and over the driveway. The internal
bathroom has a convenient walk in shower.
Set
amongst our own vineyard and tomato, melon and olive tree groves,
the villa is served by a private lit driveway with easy and
safe car parking. Peace, privacy and tranquility come as standard,
as the nearest house is over 100 metres away.
In
the last 15 years the Pepper, Pine and Palm trees have grown
to a decent shade giving height, and are supplemented by the
veranda so that there is always enough shade from the hot Sicilian
sun. You are a 5 minute walk from the nearest beachside Bar,
10 minutes from the nearest coastal restaurant and between 5-15
minutes walk from the main local beaches. Villa May is set in
tranquil surroundings and is ideal if you wish to have a break
in the countryside, with the sound of cicadas for company.
The
villa comes complete with rustic farming equipment on display
from the old farmhouses that used to be dotted around this part
of Sicily. You can help yourselves to the grapes, figs, tomatoes
and other fruit that grow on the land as you please. The garden
is landscaped with a variety of indgenous plants and cacti,
grapevines, tomato plants, orange, peach, lemon, fig and olive
trees, palms, and pines.
The
view from the rear terrace and bedroom affords you a clear vista
of mount Erice just 10km away. The garden and veranda mean you
can sit in the shade or catch the afternoon sun to read your
