SUMMARY: Located in a delightful courtyard overlooking the homonymous Via San Simone, this apartment is situated on Marettimo - the farthest Egadi Island from Trapani. The ferry takes approximately 70 minutes from Trapani and the island has few roads and even fewer cars and is dominated by indigeous flora, fauna and an unpolluted sea and coastline. Fully rennovated in 2007 the first floor of this lovingly decorated home boasts a large family bedroom (double bed and a twin bunk-bed) and a modern WC and shower room. On the second floor sits a fitted kitchen and living room (with double sofa bed) and a small terrace with outdoor shower. The third floor leads to a large shaded roof terrace with seating, table, BBQ and a breathtaking panoramic view of the entire side of the island between Punta Troia and Punta Bassano. This apartment can happily accommodate 4-6 people.

The kitchen is equipped with fridge-freezer, gas oven and hobs, and all the cookware, crockery and cutlery you will need. Bedding and pillows are also provided, as are batroom towels and prices include a weekly change. The Cortile San Simone apartment is fully furnished inside and out and ready to occupy. You are situated right alongside the port and have clear uninterrupted 180º views of the Mediterranean and panorama of this side of Marretimo. You are a few seconds walk from the nearest Bars, Restaurant and a short walk or hired bicycle ride from the islands idyllic beaches. You will find a selection of tourist guidebooks inside. Prices are inclusive of all electricity and water, together with a weekly change of bedding and bathroom towels and weekly/end of stay clean.

Although the beaches around the small island are not to be missed, there's nothing to stop you sunbathing on the balcony or roof terrace and then making use of the outdoor shower to cool off. The terraces allow you to relax and take in the stunning scenery and panorama looking back at Western Sicily during the day and experience the starfilled sky at night as it is reflected in the sea. The veranda canopy also gives you a shaded area to enjoy the fresh air without too much sun, and is perfect for eating outdoors. There are plenty of diving excursions from the island with at least two rival companies offering tailor made daily or weekly trips around this delightful part of the Mediterranean.
